-You can watch/listen to the radio on podcasts on social media or youtube e.g. when there are co-hosts or celebrity guests.
What different types of radio are there?
Pirate FM, Camden Experience, BBC Asian, BBC radio 2 etc.
-Radio is the oldest broadcast medium
-Almost 90% of adults tune in on a weekly basis
-Listening to the radio increased in 2015--> this is when radio went online--> this helped save the radio.

PSB=Public Service Broadcasting- this refers to broadcasting intended for public benefit rather than to serve purely commercial interests- has to be for public service
-PSB broadcasters cater for all ages/genders/races
-BBC has a 100% PSB remit
-ITV have a smaller remit
-Channel 5 has a tiny remit
-OFCOM are in charge of ensuring broadcasters keep to their PSB remits

-BBC can reach it's huge PSB because it does not rely on adverts
-ITV always vies for for largest audience possible
-BBC stands to inform, educate and entertain
-Their vision is to be the most creative organisation in the world.
